Research on robotic technologies allowed for the production of equipment specifically designed for rehabilitation and meant to improve the quality of everyday life in patients with neurological diseases. Emac's philosophy is to give access to these rehabilitation instruments based on technologies that help the instructor to achieve the best result in the time at hand, making improvement measurable and increasing the safety and comfort of the patient and the instructor.

These rehabilitation instruments are of two different kinds: end effector and exoskeleton. With End Efffector instruments the input comes directly from the distal part of the limb, allowing for a natural cinematic movement, without unnatural boundaries. This movement is more physiological; the therapeutic response is superior, and excellent is the patient's compliance. Exoskeletons, on the other hand, wrap up the entire limb, forcing the patient to the specific programmed movement, with sets of perfect repetitions.

EMAC is the exclusive Italian Vibramoov distributor, neurorehabilitation equipment for the locomotor system through functional proprioceptive stimulation. One of the main challenges of neuro-rehabilitation is to re-establish the union between motor skills and related neurosensory information. Today Vibramov offers to healthcare professionals and patients a single neurorehabilitation therapy that allows them to maintain this functional interaction throughout the recovery process.

Vibramoov offers various programs for the upper and lower limbs rehabilitation. Thanks to the huge variety and diversity of the protocols, doctors can propose rehabilitation sessions in an adapted way based on different patient’s pathologies, progresses and needs. From one protocol to another, changes in functional proprioceptive stimulation will change the type of perceived movement.

Motore Humanware


Motore is the new device produced by Humanware for robotic arm and shoulder rehabilitation, especially prescribed for patients with neurological disorders.
It is able to "feel" the force exerted by the patient and proportionally react to it: it can be considered a haptic robot that generates a motor and audiovisual feedback. Unlike other rehabilitation robots it’s light with no link and is therefore easily transportable.

It features a suite that includes assessment exercises (of the patient's strength and RoM), exercises for the motor control recovery (also in terms of strength and positioning accuracy), exercises for functional rehabilitation, exercises for cognitive functions, and a patient database.
There is an option to share the database of multiple devices.

End Effector system to evaluate flexed movements – fingers extensions. In accordance to the degree of neurological damage or to the rehabilitation aims, the device can be set in passive, active, or assisted modes. Thanks to its interactive and cognitive engaging therapies, Amadeo allows for a reduction of the handicap, improving strong and flexibility of the fingers.

Pablo X2:
Wireless device for the evaluation and rehabilitation of the grip-extension force of the hand and of the multiple articular ranges of the upper limb. Through the choice of customizable rehabilitation exercises, it is possible to try out engaging interactive and cognitive therapies. Thanks to the use of special accessories and new wireless sensors, Pablo also allows you to extend and focus the therapy on specific articular districts of the upper limb and torso.

Tymo:
Wireless, easy to access static and dynamic platform, for evaluating and rehabilitating posture. Timo has been designed for upright, table support, or sat use. Thanks to the engaging interactive cognitive therapies, Timo shows all that it is needed to rehabilitate and improve balance and posture, and it is directed to support every upper limb activity.

Diego:
Automatic multidimensional system mono-lateral and bilateral rehabilitation of the upper limb. Diego enables for working with alleviated loads on the arms, leaving the therapist to chose between different rehabilitative tasks with actual objects or virtual reality tasks.
Thanks to its control system, it is possible to engage in active, passive or assisted sets of therapies, making it particularly motivating for patients with motoric, sensorial or cognitive impairments. Furthermore it can be put to use with patients on wheelchairs or directly in the patient's bed.

Myro:
MYRO is an interactive surface, used mainly in the neurological rehabilitation of the upper limb. The device is aimed not only at neurological patients but also at orthopedic and pediatric patients with cognitive and motor disorders. MYRO is based on interactive manipulation of real objects, force control and touch applications. The benefit given by the combined use of these three control methods is the direct connection to the daily life activities, allowing to improve coordination, concentration and use of force. The worktop can be adjusted in height and rotated for standing, sitting, wheelchair or directly from the patient's bed. The therapy can be performed in single or multiplayer mode. MYRO can be used in combination with DIEGO, making it accessible even for serious patients.

Ekso


Automatic rehabilitative exoskeleton for walking for people with motoric impairments to the lower limb. It allows for walking in a full range of people with different motoric abilities, paraplegia, partial or total tetraplegia, emiplegia, multiple sclerosis, and all of those pathologies that necessitate a rehabilitation for walking.
Ekso gives the patient total support and assistance for walking. Thanks to a complex system of sensors, specifically to the pathology under treatment, it lets the patient walk passively, actively or assisted.

GEO SYSTEM :
End Effector automatic system with support and unload of the patient, to rehabilitate step rate in patients affected by motoric impairments to lower limb in response to cognitive and orthopedic issues.
The system allows to simulate passively steps rate on a flat surface, uphill or downhill. The therapist here has the option to set all parameters of the stride, in order to make the patient perform the ideal trajectory for his treatment. The Evolution model offers also the possibility of working on active, passive or assisted mode, and it also shapes an inclusive scenario to fully engage the patient in the rehabilitative treatment.

Bestic® offers an enhanced quality of life by providing the user with the freedom to eat without assistance, leading to greater independence and a more dignified and pleasant dining experience.
Bestic supports eating for users who have difficulties feeding themselves due to physical disabilities, decreased range of motion in their arms or hands, or poor voluntary control coordination. This may e.g. be people with different neurological diseases or degenerative conditions such as multiple sclerosis, polio, ALS, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries or Ataxia.

HOW TO CONTROL BESTIC®
By choosing a suitable control device and control mode, the user can independently control the movement of the spoon on the plate and choose what and when to eat.
The easiest way to control Bestic is with the control mode Bestic SINGLE. It only requires the push of a button with any part of your body, e.g. your hand, head, chin or knee.
Other types of control devices that can be connected to Bestic are e.g. five button controls and joysticks.

Giraff is a robotic communication system that allows virtual examinations, for both supervision and distance social interaction, especially for elders and disabled people. Thanks to Giraff, home care, healthcare professionals and relatives can have a direct contact with the patient and communicate with him through a monitor.
